| How
we teach, just for kids.

|
| Classes
for children begin at age 4. We divide the classes by age
to suit the developmental needs of each age group. |
We also divide children's classes by skill level. Generally one class is devoted to beginners, a second to intermediate, advanced. Younger children benefit physically from our program primarily in the areas of balance, strength, concentration, and coordination. Children of age 2 to 8yrs learn important elements of being safe. These topics include, Run, Yell & Tell, Getting Permission, The harm alarm, out and about & good friends. |
At all ages children in our program receive the highest caliber of private instruction in a one on one up to a two on one lesson. We teach all classes with a strict no-contact policy and the children's safety is always our primary concern. In addition to the physical goals of self defense, strength and coordination our children's classes focus on the qualities of self esteem, respect, self control and self discipline. At all times children are learning great life enhancing skills. |
We
train our instructors to work with parents to help reinforce
these qualities at home and at school. We expect our instructors
to serve not only as a "Karate coach," but as a mentor and
a role model to the children they teach. Each of the Instructors
are passionately dedicated to living up to those roles. |
|
At
United Studios of Self Defense, we work hard to make your
child's first experience with the Martial Arts a safe and
productive one. Young people must have personal goals and
a caring support system to make their dreams a reality.
We will make your child a strong, able and productive member
of society armed with character, strong self-discipline
and a healthy self-image. Equipped with these positive attributed,
your child will have the inner strength to avoid the many
temptations children face today. Your child's present and
future success, and happiness, is important to all United
Studios Instructors.
